Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American chef television personality and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the city's most prestigious establishments, been studying Italian food, its culture and traditions, and was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking early on. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled after earning an English diploma and Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful experience for me. Culinary Institute of America was an excellent place to study. When I graduated from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that made a lasting impression on her culinary point of view. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing obstacles and is also an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes children with diabetes and awareness. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours the country to mentor others in her task. Anne has, through her whole culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to share this passion for life with others.
